Burqin River Hydropower Project

The Burqin River Chonghuer Hydropower Project, located in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, involves constructing and operating an 110MW hydropower plant with a water-retaining rock dam, forming a reservoir. The project is situated in Chonghuer township, Burqin county, Altay Prefecture. It includes a water release structure, water intake system, powerhouse, two main transformers, and four sets of 220kV transmission lines. With an estimated annual operation of 3,555 hours, the project generates 391GWh of power and evacuate 390.2GWh to the Northwest China Power Grid (NWPG).
